Therapeutic Rehab Specialists was founded by two cutting edge physical therapists, Dr. Anthony Pribila and Brad Young. We have been providing excellent physical therapy care to the central and West Central Florida area since 2007. We have practices in Lakeland, Brandon, Tampa & Pinellas Park. Anthony Pribila, PT, DSc, CMPT, CMP, CEAS
Dr. Pribila was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He earned his physical therapy degree in the Netherlands. In continuing to further his skill level; Dr. Pribila completed his Doctorate of Science (DSc) degree in physical therapy at Andrews University. He completed his first manual therapy certification (CMP); through world renowned New Zealand physical therapist Brian Mulligan. His second manual therapy certification (CMPT) was through the prestigious North American Institute of Manual Therapy. Dr. Pribila also has extensive training in industrial rehab and is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS). This credentialing signifies advanced training in job site analysis and worksite evaluation. Dr. Pribila is certified through the American Institute of Balance in post-concussion management and treatment. He has completed a level 2 certification in (SFMA) Selective Functional Movement Assessment through Functional Movement Systems, and is certified in (IASTM) Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.
Professional highlights include the rehabilitation of many professional athletes throughout the country as well as serving as a physical therapist for the Broadway show The Producers. Dr. Pribila has completed extensive research demonstrating successful treatment of cervicogenic headaches. He proudly serves on Keiser University’s PTA program’s advisory board and has lectured nationally on diverse topics in physical therapy and wellness.
Melissa Santoro PTA
Melissa is a high-energy physical therapy assistant and team member at TRS where she has worked as a (PTA) since 2014. She graduated with an Associate of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Keiser University. Melissa has received extensive training in physical therapy in our Lakeland and Brandon physical therapy offices treating surgical and non-surgical conditions from the head to toe, and really enjoys getting to know her patients. On her time off, she is an avid soccer player and enjoys spending time with her two daughters.
Elsa Nail: MSPT, Aq, ATRIC, Cert in Halliwick, Bad Ragaz, Clinical Ai Chi (aquatic advancements)
Elsa graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She furthered her education through Nova Southeastern University obtaining her post professional Master’s degree. Elsa has attended physical therapy PhD classes with advanced training in orthopedic manual techniques. She has taught manual therapy and exercise regimes to students throughout the world. In Lakeland; she has focused her expertise and extensive clinical education in the pool environment; using the special healing properties of water to achieve amazing results with conditions often not successful on land. In 2017 Elsa has launched a unique program of BIOEXERCISE: combining fun, aquatic fitness and Mental acuity training. Elsa is the only PT in the state of Florida with multiple aquatic certifications. Her clients include children through advanced age adults, as well as the wounded warrior population. Elsa is proud to be part of Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, Polk County’s first free clinic since 2001. In her spare time, she is a master gardener and certified contract bridge teacher and director.
Richu has been a valuable team member at TRS’s Lakeland office for close to a year now. Richu has called the Sunshine State her home for the past 14 years. She enjoys spending spare time with her family and friends, catching up on her favorite shows, and going to the beach. As a University of Florida grad, she also enjoys rooting on the Florida Gators on Saturdays. Richu is also a nationally certified phlebotomy technician. Richu’s interest in pursuing a degree in physical therapy led her to the Front Desk position at TRS. Richu loves working with and meeting TRS client’s and looks forward to seeing more fresh faces!
Yash Ramos, MSPT
Yash is a Rhode Island native and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. He earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Studies in 2003 and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (MS PT) in 2005 from Utica College, New York. Having been trained in an evidence-based physical therapy program, he uses most recent research models in developing individualized treatment approaches for pain control and improved function. Using a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise, he specializes in the developing individualized rehab programs for pre and post-surgical patients, acute and chronic pain patients, treatment of vertigo (BPPV) and strength conditioning for clients and athletes alike.
Although he specializes in Orthopedic Outpatient Rehabilitation he has effectively functioned in a variety of settings including Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, Subacute and Acute Rehab Facilities, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Home Health settings. This broad spectrum of experience has helped him create a practical and holistic approach to helping patients achieve their functional goals in a safe and efficient manner.
Kathleen Boyle, PT, DPT, LMT, RYT
Kathleen is a former graduate of New College of Florida who started out as a licensed massage therapist attending The Florida School of Massage. She attended the University of Delaware where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Kathleen completed her post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Saint Augustine with a focus on orthopedics. Kathleen has additional training in aquatics, acupressure, and attended a 500-hour yoga teacher training. She studies Ayurveda with both Vaidya Mishra and Paul Douglis M.D. Kathleen is pleased to offer her extensive training in pelvic floor evaluation and treatment to our client’s.
Kathleen grew up practicing contemplative prayer and meditation and has continued this practice throughout her life.
Kathleen attempts to provide each patient with a clear understanding of the mechanical cause of their pain and dysfunction offering a comprehensive solution to improve their situation. She acknowledges that all healing comes from within and she is present to help the patient achieve their goals. She is grateful for the opportunity to be of service to the clients of TRS.
In her free time Kathleen enjoys learning, yoga, and hiking with her handicapped sister. When able she spends time with her daughter who is in the honors program at the University of Central Florida.
Casmin Wilson moved to the Tampa bay area from Pensacola, Florida to study Health Sciences at the University of South Florida. As a recent graduate, she plans to attend Adventist University of Health Sciences to receive her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Her current role is that of physical therapy aide/front office coordinator; where she enjoys helping and interacting with patients. Casmin is also a nationally certified phlebotomy technician. Casmin loves to read, spend time outdoors doing yoga and hanging out with family and friends. She is extremely devoted to our patients and their individual needs.
Bianca Sarubbi recently joined our team at Therapeutic Rehab Specialists Brandon office in January. Her role at TRS is that of a front office coordinator/Physical Therapy Aide. Bianca is very personable, and always makes our clients feel welcome. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from USF. Bianca plans to pursue her Master’s degree to become a Physician Assistant. She is close to her family, and has a 3-year-old son who she enjoys taking bike rides with and visiting Busch Gardens.
Pinellas Park Office
Brad Young, PT, CEAS
Brad, a Florida native, was born and raised in St. Petersburg. He has been a practicing physical therapist since 1998. His international training in the Netherlands provides him with the knowledge and techniques to treat acute to chronic conditions with a broad spectrum of therapies.
Brad’s utilization of state of the art technology as well as hands on manual therapy produces remarkable results in pain control and improved function. His treatment style focuses on designing individualized rehabilitation programs where he works one on one with clients. Patients are often referred to Brad for pre and post surgical rehabilitation therapy by many Tampa Bay area orthopedic surgeons. Brad also has extensive training in industrial rehab and is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS). This credentialing signifies advanced training in job site analysis and worksite evaluation. Brad is also certified in (IASTM) Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.
